Awards
On January, 2006, I accepted the "ICE" award from my peers on behalf of the Senior Ski Team Program.
This award is handed out annually by Whistler/Blackcomb senior staff to their employees in recognition of "Inspiring Continued Excellence" within the corporation.
By 2006, the Senior Ski Team Program had grown from a grass roots pilot project hosting 7 skiers to a bonafide program with 160 people enjoying the skiing experience.
The goal has always been to provide a specialized learning and social networking environment for the senior guests on the mountain throughout the entire ski season.
As we start the 2010 -11 season, we continue to thrive with over 225 participants just giving it their all and proportionally reaping the benefits.
I cannot say how important it is to recognize the incredible talent of the coaches both past and present who give their all session in and session out and continue to make the program experience what it is!
We continue to evolve the experience by connecting the guests to the very best information and services for boots, skis and ski gear in general. To all our partner sponsors, a great big thank you for your continued support.
